The Remedio Register

Gartner Recognizes Remedio as Cool Vendor for Cyber-Physical Systems

Remedio was just named a Gartner‘s Cool Vendor in Cloud Security for 2025! This is huge news for us.

Gartner defines a Cool Vendor as a company that solves problems in new and disruptive ways, drive business opportunities, and leverages tech to improve effectiveness and security. In our humble opinion, it’s a very accurate description of Remedio.

And it's not just us. We may have known it for a while, but now we are officially cool! Remedio was just named a Gartner‘s Cool Vendor in Cloud Security for 2025.

This recognition validates our mission to change the way organizations secure their most critical environments

Why This Matters

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are everywhere - from energy grids and manufacturing lines to hospitals and transportation networks. These environments are vital, but they’re also uniquely vulnerable. Misconfigurations, excessive privileges, unnecessary programs, and insecure default settings open the door to risks that can cascade into physical disruption.

That’s why Gartner’s recognition matters. It reflects the growing consensus that security for CPS cannot stop at asset identification or monitoring. It must ensure safe, sustainable configuration baselines - and that’s exactly where Remedio is making an impact.

Why We’re Cool

Gartner’s Perspective

In its analysis, Gartner highlighted Remedio’s ability to:

  • Automate remediation of misconfigurations across Windows and Linux in CPS environments.

  • Centrally manage changes with instant rollback if needed.

  • Provide unified visibility and control across diverse environments including Windows, Linux, Mac, VDIs, Active Directory, and cloud.

  • Integrate with leading CPS security platforms such as Forescout, Claroty, CrowdStrike, and Armis.

These are powerful features - but they only scratch the surface of what makes Remedio cool.

Going Beyond Detection: Smart, Safe Remediation

While many tools stop at detection, Remedio supports remediation that is both smart and safe. For every hardening recommendation, our system maps downstream dependencies:

  • Surfacing the quick wins - the low-hanging fruit.

  • Pinpointing where operational impacts could arise.

  • Helping operators disentangle vulnerable components from core operations for sustainable and scalable posture management.

And because we know change in sensitive environments can feel risky, every action is backed by our instant rollback capabilities, ensuring that if something doesn’t go as planned, teams can return to a known-good state immediately.

Driving Internal Alignment

CPS security often breaks down not because of technology, but because IT, Security, and Operations teams are working at cross purposes. Remedio helps bridge those silos. By weaving each group’s priorities into daily task management and decision-making, our platform ensures alignment and collaboration. Instead of competing agendas, teams find themselves pulling in the same direction - making real progress together.

Smarter Compliance: Build-Your-Own Frameworks

Compliance frameworks like NIST, CIS, and STIG are invaluable guides, but no two organizations are the same. Remedio empowers teams with build-your-own compliance framework functionality. This lets them start with trusted models while bending them intelligently to their own operational context. The result: compliance that’s not just a checkbox exercise, but a tailored, pragmatic fit.

Actionable Value: The ROI Calculator

We believe security tools should enable action, not overwhelm teams with data. That’s why we built an in-system ROI calculator. It allows teams to measure the tangible value of their remediation efforts - helping leadership see security improvements in outcome-driven terms. By tying security directly to measurable impact, we move the conversation from cost to value creation.

Tackling Industry Challenges

Gartner also flagged key challenges in CPS security: defining initial baselines, avoiding operational disruption, covering proprietary systems, and building trust in AI automation.

Remedio directly addresses these:

  • Baselines are made easier with dependency mapping and prioritization.

  • Instant rollback and pre-change impact analysis minimize disruption.

  • Flexibility extends security coverage across both common and unique CPS protocols.

  • Transparency, explainability, and outcome metrics build the trust needed for automation in production environments.

Changing the Game for CPS Security

Remedio isn’t just another tool - it’s a new way of thinking about securing CPS environments:

  • From reactive detection to proactive, safe remediation.

  • From fragmented silos to aligned IT, Security, and Operations.

  • From rigid compliance to tailored frameworks that fit real-world needs.

  • From vanity metrics to ROI and outcomes that matter.

In industries where uptime, safety, and resilience are paramount, this shift is transformative.

Who Should Care

This recognition is especially relevant to cybersecurity leaders tasked with:

  • Managing and reducing misconfigurations.

  • Streamlining compliance with frameworks and regulations.

  • Supporting hybrid IT and CPS environments.

  • Overseeing patch and vulnerability management.

If that’s your world, then Gartner’s recognition is a clear signal: Remedio is a solution worth your attention.

Closing Thoughts

We are honored by Gartner’s recognition, but even more excited about what it represents: a growing awareness that CPS security requires more than monitoring - it requires action, alignment, and measurable outcomes.

At Remedio, we’re committed to leading that shift.
