GYTPOL Triumphs at CPX Vienna's Technology Innovation Sandbox
Competition Highlights Groundbreaking Contributions to Cybersecurity
Vienna, Austria — March 14, 2024 — GYTPOL, the fast-growing endpoint configuration security management platform, is proud to announce its victory at the highly anticipated 2024 Technology Innovation Sandbox competition, held during Check Point’s CPX Vienna conference. This prestigious recognition highlights GYTPOL’s innovative approach to assuring security across diverse and distributed enterprise assets and their complex configuration states.
The competition, a highlight of the CPX Vienna event, featured a diverse range of innovative startups. Participants competed in a dynamic and fast-paced format, presenting their solutions in a quick PechaKucha format. GYTPOL’s winning presentation stood out due to its novel approach to the universal problem of misconfiguration persistence in the context of enterprise IT risk management.
GYTPOL transforms how businesses manage and secure connected device configurations, addressing the critical challenges of policy monitoring, enforcement, and drift prevention. As enterprises increasingly connect, interconnect, and scale—mixing devices of different ages, designs, and operating systems—the need for robust security measures has never been more urgent. GYTPOL’s platform delivers intelligent, context-aware automation to ensure that device configurations remain secure, consistent, and compliant across the entire organization.
That was how Tal Kollender, CEO and Co-founder of GYTPOL, set the stage for her quick solution pitch. To hear her tell it, since misconfigurations have as much to do with how technology is used as they do with how it’s designed, they’re inherently tied to human error. And because of that, they’re both inevitable and intractable. And unlike vulnerabilities that get a lot of attention, comparatively little time, money, and technology is put toward the problem of insecure configurations.
It’s a narrative that Kollender backed up with numbers — citing for example a study from Microsoft that found over 80% of ransomware attacks exploit misconfigurations. To address this problem, Kollender proposed a paradigm shift, powered by GYTPOL’s unique technology. The company’s endpoint security platform goes beyond the traditionally labor-intensive and error-prone process of configuration management by automatically detecting policy violations, validating enforcement, and preventing drift.
The message struck a chord with those in attendance, as GYTPOL registered an unprecedented audience score of 4.9 out of 5.
“I was thrilled just to be able to present. Winning the competition is an incredible honor and I’m truly humbled by how the crowd received our story,” said Kollender.
“It’s clear that the industry really feels this pain. They just might not know that there’s anything they can do about it. I love being able to open their eyes and show them how we can help.”
With GYTPOL, organizations can confidently deploy and manage connected devices, while minimizing the risks associated with misconfigurations, bad defaults, and un-patchable vulnerabilities. As Kollender said on stage, “It’s an added layer of intelligence and oversight that is critical to maintaining a strong security posture as your network and its threats evolve.”
With that, she won over the crowd and took home the top prize at CPX Vienna’s Technology Innovation Sandbox competition.
